Tirana, February 8 2011 NOA – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called today, on 8 February 2011, the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece in Tirana, Mr. Nicolas Pazios to ask explanations related to the statements of the Greek Consul, Theodhoro Ikonomus issued at the ceremony held on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Organization “Omonia” in Korça City.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated clearly its own position on these statements, considering them unacceptable. Such statements do not reflect the contents of the Albanian – Greek relations and impair the spirit of the friendship between the two countries.
