Tirana, March 11, 2011 NOA - Eagle Mobile, the innovative mobile company of Albania marks the third anniversary. Eagle came as a hope for change in the Albanian Telecommunications Market three years ago, dominated by the monopoly. Eagle brought new services in a market where only the voice calls and SMS-es were the main services. Eagle reduced the very high prices in the sector and this brought advantages not only for the subscribers of Eagle, but also for the subscribers of other companies where the prices went down. Eagle invested 70 million Euro in these three years, giving the job possibilities to around 1000 Albanian professionals, the majority of them women. Eagle was well received by Albanian people. Eagle family has now more than 870.000 members all around Albania. This means that the company increased 40% the number of subscribers in the last 12 months. Also the income of Eagle increased with 18% compared with the situation one year ago. On 2010 the total market revenue share of Eagle increased to 12 %. Eagle Mobile offers the best service throughout its shop network with 75 shops in every corner of Albania. With Eagle Mobile, Albania started using internet on the mobile phones. Mobile internet was a luxury and totally unknown for Albanian people and especially for the youth. Now 35 % of Eagle subscribers use internet every day in their smart phones and the percentage is increasing.
Eagle for the first time brought VAS services to Albanian people. Now, in the third birthday, 14 % of the incomes of the company come from VAS services. Super Riniring is now the best tariff plan in Albania loved by everyone. Eagle doubled the number of postpaid subscribers in the last one year, offering the best prices to individuals, companies and institutions. Most of the institutions of Albania are using Eagle now, a good sign of their belief in our company.
With its totally new reklama concept, Eagle changed also the advertisement sector of Albania. Eagle showed that this country is beautiful and developed and Hollywood stars can turn back and live in here.
