Ljubljana, March 16, 2011 NOA - In the framework of the "West Balkans and the EU" lecture cyle the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) present the lecture delivered by retired Lieutenant-General Blagoje Grahovac entitled "Geopolitics and the Balkans which will be held on Thursday, 17 March 2011, in the Auditorium of Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana.
The lecturer will talk about geopolitics and its influence on the past and future events in the Balkans.
Blagoje Grahovac is the leading military and political analyst and an expert in geopolitics in Montenegro and the region.
Lieutenant-General Blagoje Grahovac is a pilot. He carried out the duties as Assistant Chief of the Yugoslav Army General Staff for Air Force.
He was advisor to Montenegro President, advisor to the president of the former State Union of Serbia-Montenegro and advisor to the chairman of General Assembly of Montenegro.
The lecture will be delivered in the Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian/Montenegrin language and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer which will be moderated by Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
The realisation of the event in Center Evropa was enabled by Government Communication Office and European Commission Representation in Slovenia.
